Meet our Team

Supervised by our Certified Recovery Residence Administrator (CRRA), the Associate Recovery Communities (ARC) provides opportunities for residents to grow into positions of leadership

Managing Director

William Atkinson, CRRA CRSS, CMI

Will is a person in long term recovery who hasn’t found it necessary to pick up a drink or a drug since February 27th of 2006. He started working in the substance use disorder field in 2008, and opened his sober living home business in 2011. By 2013, it had become the first Florida Association of Recovery Residences (FARR) accredited programs on the West Coast of Florida. In 2014 he co-founded the Recovery Community Organization (RCO) named the Recovery Epicenter Foundation (REF), which he is the Executive Director of today.

If you’d like to check out his work in the recovery community, and peer support space please check out www.recoveryepicenterfoundation.org

Between his management of ARC and REF, Will has a full life in recovery as he is still active in the recovery community to this day, while caring for his daughter, and sitting on numerous state and local boards including FARR, Fellowship RCO, and SPC’s Human Services Department.

He is proud of the alumni, and the strength of his recovery programs, which have produced many incredible examples of what recovery can do. Whether becoming a contributing member of society, or joining the substance use disorder field like he did, many have gotten there start in the field helping Will manage the Associate Recovery Communities, and supporting the next generation of Tampa Bay’s active recovery fellowship.
